The Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation (PWHF) strives to ease the heavy strain on rare wildlife of Iran. Human population growth and the expansion of zones of human activity are among the many dangers facing wildlife habitats in particular and our nurturing environment in general.
We believe that conservation goals can only be fulfilled when people and authorities cooperate. As a people whose livelihood depends on the health of the environment, we have a responsibility to safeguard and hand our great natural heritage to future generations.
We can come to an appreciation of our earth by understanding the interconnection of our environment and our lives on a personal level. As such PWHF focuses on public awareness campaigns in tandem with projects that can save endangered species and protect the fragile ecosystems of this land. Our projects are backed by a careful analysis of the main threats affecting the survival of endangered species.
PWHF is a not-for-profit organization supervised by a board of trustees. An executive board whose members are well versed in conservation strategies and natural resource management determines the day-to-day affairs of the foundation. Be they full-time or volunteers, our staff is made up of dedicated and informed individuals with deep care for the environment.
We extend a hand to all NGOs active in the field and seek their cooperation. We are ready to benefit from their skills and expertise. In the same vein, we consider PWHF to be an aide and a partner to the country’s hard-working officials in charge of our natural resources at the Department of Environment.
Concerned citizens and our trustee members provide funding for most of our activities. Once our staff drafts a proposal or we receive a proposal from another party, be it educational or in the field, it is carefully reviewed by a team of experts and then discussed in the executive board meeting before we approve it and allocate funds to it.

بنیاد میراث حیات وحش ایرانی (Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation یا PWHF) یک سازمان غیرانتفاعی است که با هدف کاهش فشار بر حیات وحش نادر ایران فعالیت می‌کند. رشد جمعیت انسانی و گسترش مناطق فعالیت انسانی، از جمله خطرات بسیاری هستند که زیستگاه‌های حیات وحش و محیط زیست کشور را تهدید می‌کنند. این بنیاد بر این باور است که دستیابی به اهداف حفاظت از محیط زیست تنها با همکاری مردم و مقامات امکان‌پذیر است و با توجه به وابستگی معیشت مردم به سلامت محیط زیست، مسئولیت حفاظت از میراث طبیعی غنی ایران و انتقال آن به نسل‌های آینده بر عهده همه ماست.
فعالیت‌های PWHF شامل اجرای کمپین‌های آگاهی‌بخشی عمومی و همچنین پروژه‌های نجات گونه‌های در معرض خطر و حفاظت از اکوسیستم‌های شکننده ایران است. پروژه‌های این بنیاد با تجزیه و تحلیل دقیق تهدیدات اصلی که بقای گونه‌های در معرض خطر را تحت تاثیر قرار می‌دهند، پشتیبانی می‌شوند. نیلوفر بایانی، آبنوس صادقی و ریحانه رضاپور از جمله افراد کلیدی در این بنیاد هستند که با تخصص و تجربیات خود در زمینه حفاظت از محیط زیست و مدیریت منابع طبیعی، به پیشبرد اهداف PWHF کمک می‌کنند. این بنیاد با سازمان‌های مردم نهاد فعال در این زمینه همکاری نزدیک دارد و از تجربیات و تخصص آنها بهره می‌برد. همچنین PWHF به عنوان یک یار و شریک برای مسئولان زحمتکش کشور در اداره محیط زیست در حفاظت از منابع طبیعی عمل می‌کند.
تامین مالی بیشتر فعالیت‌های بنیاد میراث حیات وحش ایرانی از طریق شهروندان دغدغه‌مند و اعضای هیئت امنای آن صورت می‌گیرد. تمام پیشنهادات اعم از آموزشی یا میدانی، پس از بررسی دقیق توسط تیم متخصصین و بحث در جلسات هیئت مدیره، مورد تایید قرار گرفته و بودجه لازم به آن اختصاص می‌یابد. این بنیاد با رویکردی علمی و مشارکتی، برای حفظ تنوع زیستی و میراث طبیعی ایران تلاش می‌کند و با اتکا به دانش، تخصص و تعهد افراد کلیدی خود، به عنوان یک نهاد پیشرو در زمینه حفاظت از محیط زیست ایران شناخته می‌شود.
